Samsung is shifting its display production plant from China to Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, met with a group from Samsung India and southwest Asia and stated that the state government is willing to assist the company’s manufacturing unit in Noida in any way possible.
According to a press statement , the display production plant has been relocated from China to Noida.
The firm highlighted India’s improved industrial climate and pro-industry legislation as grounds for relocating the facility to the country. It had already begun producing smartphone displays in Noida in April of this year. The delegation stated that the building activity shows the delegation’s commitment to India and its goal of making Uttar Pradesh a manufacturing powerhouse.
During the discussion with the group, the chief minister stated that Samsung’s Noida plant is a shining example of the success of the “Make in India” initiative and that this will assist the states young find work.
On Sunday, a team led by Ken Kang, the company’s Southwest Asia President & CEO, met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The delegation claimed that the construction of its new display production plant in Noida, which will replace the one in China, had been finished.
The investor-friendly climate in India was highlighted as one of the reasons for locating the factory in Noida. Samsung also stated that Uttar Pradesh will serve as its industrial base. The team was promised by Adityanath that the state government will continue to assist Samsung in the future.
