The Android OS update timetable for several of OnePlus’s presently available devices has been updated. The update cycle for the OnePlus 8 series and subsequent flagship devices has been updated by OnePlus. The updated timetable for the Nord, Nord CE, and Nord N devices has also been revealed by the firm.

After OnePlus chose to integrate its OxygenOS with Oppo’s ColorOS, the software maintenance schedule was modified. OnePlus owners have praised OxygenOS for providing a clean, almost stock Android experience. OnePlus aims to use its shared resources with Oppo to increase efficiency and standardize the OxygenOS software experience across its range, according to the company.

Flagship devices will receive two major Android updates and three years of security fixes before the release of the OnePlus 8 series. In a blog post, OnePlus stated that “software update plans for carrier versions will follow the requirements of our carrier partners.”

The list of devices that will be updated as part of OnePlus’s new software update schedule has been revealed. The following is a complete list of models:

• Three major Android updates and four years of security updates will be provided to all the OnePlus 8 and newer flagship smartphones. This includes T and R models as well. The OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8 are among the smartphones in this list.
• Older OnePlus flagship phones produced before the OnePlus 8 series will continue to get two major Android updates and three years of security patches. Our carrier version software update plans will be based on the needs of our carrier partners. The OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7 are all included.
• The original OnePlus Nord, as well as the updated OnePlus Nord and OnePlus Nord CE, will receive two major Android updates as well as three years of security patches.
• All N series smartphones will receive one major Android update and three years of security updates starting with the N10 and N100. The OnePlus Nord 10 5G, Nord 100, and Nord 200 5G are examples of this.
