2022 Mercedes C-Class to launch in India today: Features, price, key competitors, and more

The much-awaited 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is all set to go on sale in the Indian market today. The features and specs of the new car for India have already been revealed by the company. The sixth-generation C-Class will be available in three variants: C200, C220d (Avantgrade trim), and C300d (AMG-Line grade only).
Price details
The outgoing model is offered in two trim levels C200 Progressive and C220d Progressive, priced at INR 49.99 Lakh and INR 51.72 Lakh respectively. The price of the new model is likely to be around INR 5 lakh more than the old model. Its price is likely to be around INR 55 lakh to INR 60 lakh. The AMG-Line model could cost around INR 70 lakh.
Features details
Selenite Grey, Mojave Silver, High-tech Silver, Manufaktur Opalite White, Cavansite Blue, and Obsidian Black are among the model’s colour options. The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine in the guise of the C200, producing 201bhp and 300Nm of torque. The C220d and C300d both have a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 197bhp and 440Nm of torque in the former and 261bhp and 550Nm of torque in the latter. Across the range, a nine-speed automatic transmission is standard. A 48V mild-hybrid system with 20bhp and 200Nm is standard on all models.
In comparison to the outgoing model, the next Mercedes-Benz C-Class has sleeker LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, new split LED taillights and new 18-inch alloy wheels. The next Mercedes-Benz C-Class will include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, the latest MBUX 7 connectivity, a flat-bottom steering wheel with Nappa leather, and biometric authentication through fingerprint and voice.
