Citroen C3 all set for India launch: Engine, mileage, price, design, and more
French carmaker Citroen is launching its first mass-market vehicle ‘C3’ in the Indian market on July 20, 2022. The upcoming Citroen C3 called a ‘hatchback with a twist’ by the firm, will be offered in two trim options – Live and feel. The Citroen C3 will compete against the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite, among others. The car comes with 2 petrol engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated (NA) unit and a 1.2-litre turbocharged.

Engine
The car is powered by 2 petrol engine options and 2 manual transmission options. The 1.2-turbo engine comes mated to a 6-speed MT, while the second variant gets a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated motor mated to a 5-speed MT unit. The more powerful engine produces 110 Ps and 190 Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre normally aspirated engine produces 82 Ps and 115 Nm of torque.
Length
The car measures 3,981 mm in length, 1,606 mm in height with roof rails, 1,733 mm wide, and has a 2,540 mm wheelbase. The company offers 15-inch steel wheels with plastic covers as standard and 15-inch alloy wheels as optional extras.
Boot space/ground clearance
The Citroen C3 has a 315-litre boot space and a relatively high ground clearance.
Dashboard
The dashboard features a 10.2-inch main infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It’s also more fascinating because of the all-digital display, steering-mounted controls, and plenty of storage capacity.
What’s not included
Some standard features like alloy wheels and a rear-view camera will be offered as optional extras.
Expected price
Given that the C3 will compete with Nissan’s Magnite, Renault’s Kiger, and similar sub-compact SUVs, the beginning price might be between INR 5.5 and INR 6.5 lakh ex-showroom. Customization options on the Citroen C3 include 10 different exterior color options, two of which are dual-tone. It also gets two interior trim options – Anodized Gray and Dual-Tone Orange with Grey.
