Ashneer Grover offers Mercedes to employees who will complete 5 years in his new Start-Up
According to the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, an employee working continuously for five years in a company is entitled to receive gratuity. But Ashneer Grover, co-founder of Bharat Pe and judge of the first season of Shark Tank India, has announced to give Mercedes to those who work for five consecutive years in his new startup Third Unicorn.
Along with this announcement, he said that the amount of gratuity is very less. It is not respectful to the employees. In a LinkedIn post, Ashneer Grover invited candidates to join the Dream Team and onboard the startup, and be a part of the “next TODU-FODU thing.”
Grover also promised that whoever completes five years in the startup would be gifted a Mercedes! The startup which was launched in 2022 is said to have a total paid-up capital of INR 10 lakh and an authorized share capital of INR 20 lakh.
BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover said, “Let’s get some work done in 2023!” He added, “We at Third Unicorn have been quietly and peacefully building a market-shaking business. Bootstrapped. Without limelight. And we are doing things differently. Very differently.
Grover reveals that his new company is fully ‘desi’, self-earning capital, and open to new recruits. Apart from this, he is also urging investors to contact him directly if they are interested in investing in his new venture. A slideshow was attached that gave a tantalizing glimpse into the making of the startup, without actually revealing anything.
A great strategy we must say and only revealed that it would initially have only 50 employees. “Here is a sneak glimpse of HOW we are building, so check it out if you want to be a part of the next TODU-FODU things! The million-dollar question is still WHAT we are building! ” he said.
Ashneer Grover is forming a new startup Third Unicorn along with his wife Madhuri Jain Grover. He laid the foundation of his new venture on his 40th birthday in June 2022. Meanwhile, Ashneer Grover, who participated as an investor in the first season of the Indian reality show Shark Tank, did not return for the second season due to an ongoing legal dispute with investors and top executives of BharatPe.
