Akasa Air adds Delhi as 6th destination; flights to start from THIS date
Indian business magnate and ace stock market investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-promoted Akasa Air has announced Delhi as the sixth destination for its flights, adding to its existing network of Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Chennai, and Mumbai. Services on the Delhi-Bengaluru, Delhi-Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad-Bengaluru routes will commence from October 7, within two months of the airline’s commercial commencement.

Timing and Price: The airline will operate a daily flight between Ahmedabad and Delhi, which will depart from Gujarat city at 9.10 am. The return flight will leave Delhi daily at 7.20 pm. Flight tickets from Ahmedabad start at INR 4,742, while flight tickets from Delhi start at INR 4,576. The Delhi-Bengaluru flight will depart from the national capital at 11.40 am. The return flight will leave from Bengaluru at 3.45 pm. Flight tickets from Delhi start at INR7,057, while from Bengaluru at INR 7,371.
The airline has also announced additional daily flights on the Ahmedabad-Bengaluru route from October 07, 2022. Akasa Air is expected to cross 250 flights per week by October 10, 2022, with a total of nine routes. Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder, and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air, said, “With our fifth aircraft coming into operation soon, we will soon achieve the milestone of 250 flights per week. In addition to flights between Delhi and Bengaluru, we are further expanding our network between Bengaluru and Ahmedabad by adding the 2nd frequency between this route.
According to the airline, a new aircraft is added every 15 days, and a fifth aircraft will start flying soon. By the end of March 2023, Akasa Air’s fleet size will increase to 18. Over the next four years, the airline plans to add 54 aircraft, bringing the total fleet size to 72. On July 22, the airline began operations. Today, it serves six cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai. On some of its routes, the airline is also providing the lowest ticket price.
