Fantasy-Adventure Film Brahmastra Surpasses INR 100 Crore Mark in India
Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt continues to do well at the box office. Despite mixed reviews, the film directed by Ayan Mukerji and backed by Karan Johar showed some growth on Sunday (September 11). The Hindi version of Brahmastra collected around INR 41-42 crores on the third day, while it collected 37 crores on the second day, as a result, film earned around INR 125 crores in three days. Trade analysts predict a possible INR 250 crore weekend.

Brahmastra’s three-day earnings in Hindi are said to be over INR 110 crore nett, while the movie made about INR 45 crores in all languages on Sunday alone, according to reports. Meanwhile, collections for all formats including languages other than Hindi have crossed INR 120 crore for the opening weekend.
Despite a non-holiday release, Brahmastra had a strong opening weekend earning INR 35-36 crore. According to reports, the Day 1 box office earnings of Brahmastra have surpassed Ranbir Kapoor’s highest opening Sanju, which earned 34.75 crores on day 1 in 2018. Earlier, it was reported that with many shows being housefull, theaters in many major places were now opening morning and late-night shows to meet the increased demands.
Meanwhile, according to Dharma Productions, Brahmastra has earned over INR 160 crore worldwide within two days. However, some celebrities like Kangana Ranaut and industry insiders have claimed that the Brahmastra box office figures have been manipulated by the makers of the film.

Interestingly, even before the release of the film, there was a demand to boycott the film on social media. The film has received 5.5/10 IMDb rating. It will be interesting to see if Ranbir and Alia’s starrer films will set new records at the box office.
