Gautam Adani funds the treatment of a 4-year-old girl who has hole in her heart
A four-year-old Lucknow girl who has a hole in her heart has got a big help from billionaire Gautam Adani. The girl’s family who needs urgent emergency surgery for Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), as suggested by the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences(SGPGI) doctors, was unable to arrange INR 1.25 lakh for the procedure.

Ashutosh Tripathi, a family friend, tweeted about the issue and sought donations and financial assistance. The sharing messages reached Gautam Adani’s Twitter feed and he wrote back: Manushree will be fine very soon. Have asked my foundation to get in touch with her family and ensure that the family gets all possible help that is needed to get her back to school, playing with her friends.

Netizens have hailed Adani’s efforts to help the little child. A Twitter user wrote that “such kind of kindness and good work by you will motivate more of us to do things like this in future”. The user wished that God blesses Gautam Adani with more wealth for his “excellent work”. “It’s shows the reality of a great personality. Thanks from bottom of my heart (sic),” wrote another user.
In the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2022 published on October 21, Gautam Adani was placed in the seventh position. The Adani Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the Adani Group, has contributed INR 122 crores to aid the relief efforts in India for the COVID pandemic, as per the report.
It was earlier reported that Gautam Adani would invest $7 to $10 billion in the healthcare sector, including money from the Adani Foundation. This investment will go towards insurance, hospitals, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals.
Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, was listed third on the EdelGive Hurun list. With a focus on healthcare and education, the billionaire businessman pursues his humanitarian efforts through the Reliance Foundation.
