Google Reveals – Search Results Drive More Than 4 Billion Connections

As per the company, this is included by more than 2 billion monthly website clicks and other connections like phone calls, directions, reservations, and food ordering.
It is not about Google Search’s only, but the map feature of Google has always been a helpful one for people to navigate and explore.
The Vice President of Engineering, Google Maps, Elizabeth Reid informed that “the maps have been provided to more than 220 countries and territories over the past 15 years and now it surfaces helpful information for more than 200 million places.”
On Friday, Elizabeth stated in a blog post that “In Google Maps, the efforts have brought helpful local information to the people at their fingertips and it helps in producing better Google Search results by letting them connect with nearby places and businesses.”
Amid the ongoing pandemic, some interesting data have been shared by Google.
“Businesses have made nearly 700 million edits to their Business Profiles during the starting period of Coronavirus pandemic, with the advent of COVID-19, Business ventures have made nearly 700 million edits in their Google profiles. Statistically, the edits are double the amount made during the same time – last year.”
Every month, Google unites individuals with more than 120 million companies that do not have websites, “supporting owners of small business who are not online by attracting more customers.”
It has been a helpful exercise for Google to build data partnerships with authoritative sources worldwide.
Partnerships that involve more than 10,000 local governments, municipal agencies and organizations around the world are thanked. Reid elaborated saying that they are able to represent the latest data in the Search results and Maps results along with supporting the local authorities to reach even more people in their communities with the updates that are important.
The conversational technology of Google that is recognized as Duplex, which enables the organization to scale up its ability to confirm updated information for places.
Google has put Duplex to work since the beginning of the pandemic, making calls to companies in eight countries to check items like opening hours or whether they provide takeout and delivery.
