IndiGo announces 16th-anniversary sale; flight tickets at only INR 1,616
Low-cost airline IndiGo has completed 16 years of service in the skies. On the occasion of its 16th anniversary, the Gurugram-based airline has introduced ‘Sweet 16’ wherein the company is offering huge discounts on all domestic routes on the 6E network. The ‘Sweet 16’ anniversary offer starts today (August 3) and will be open till August 5 with rates starting at INR 1,616.

This offer is valid for travel between August 18, 2022, and July 16, 2023. The airline has also announced 25% cashback in the form of 6E Rewards up to 1000 reward points on Ka-Ching cards. Alternatively, customers can book through an HSBC credit card with a minimum transaction value of INR 3500 to avail of 5% cashback of up to INR 800. IndiGo’s Sweet 16 sale offer is valid for bookings made at least 15 (Fifteen) days before the date of departure for flights during the offer period, provided that the date of travel is no earlier than August 18, 2022, and no later than July 16, 2023.
This offer is not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash, and it cannot be combined with any other offer, scheme, or promotion. The offer is not valid on IndiGo’s group bookings. Without disclosing the number of seats under this offer, the airline said, “Limited inventory is available under the offer and hence the discount will be provided subject to the availability of the customer and at IndiGo’s sole discretion.”
Airline announces restoration of full salary: India’s largest airline IndiGo will match the salaries of its pilots with the pre-COVID levels. The carrier is hoping to be on a profitable growth path soon and feels the time is right to start restoring its employees’ pay. IndiGo also wants to keep its workforce satisfied, especially as new airlines prepare to enter the competitive landscape.
