IRCTC launches ‘Shri Ramayan Yatra’ special train package. All Details here

The ‘Shri Ramayan Yatra’ is a special tour offered by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) based on the “Ramayana Circuit” under the Swadesh Darshan to promote spiritual tourism for Lord Rama devotees. On February 22, a state-of-the-art Deluxe AC train with AC-I and AC-II class coaches and a capacity of 156 passengers will depart from Delhi‘s Safdarjung Railway Station. On February 22, 2022, the train journey will depart from Delhi’s Safdarjung railway station, covering the important sites related to Lord Rama’s life. The journey will also include stops in Buxar, Kanchipuram, and Bhadrachalam.
Shri Ramayan Yatra: Train route
- Spanning over 19 nights and 20 days, the first destination is Ayodhya, where travellers will visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple and Hanuman temple. There will also be a Bharat Mandir at Nandigram.
- Following Ayodhya, the next stop will be Sitamarhi, Bihar, where Sita is said to have been born. The Ram-Janaki Temple in Janakpur, Nepal, will be covered by road.
- The tourists shall be taken to Buxar after Sitamarhi for a visit to the Ramrekha ghat and local temples. Varanasi will come after that.
- Visitors would be able to travel by road to temples in Varanasi, Prayag, Shringverpur, and Chitrakoot.
- Varanasi, Prayag, and Chitrakoot will host night stays, respectively.
- The train will then move to Nasik, where a visit to Trayambakeshwar temple and Panchvati will be included. The train will stop at Hampi after Nasik.
- Then the train chugs into one of the holy Char Dham sites of Rameshwaram. Visits to the eponymous Ramanathaswamy temple and Dhanuskodi are among the excursions available.
- Kanchipuram is the next stop, where visitors may see the Vishnu Kanchi, Shiva Kanchi, and Kanchi Kamakshi Amman temples.
- The train excursion will end at Bhadrachalam, following which the train will return to Delhi on the 20th day of its journey.
Shri Ramayan Yatra: Price
This special tourist train has been offered by IRCTC at INR 99,475 per person for 2AC and INR 1,21,735 per person for 1AC. The package price includes train travel in air-conditioned coaches, hotel accommodations, all meals (VEG ONLY), all transfers and sightseeing in air-conditioned vehicles, travel insurance, and services of IRCTC Tour Managers, etc.
