Jio to launch India’s cheapest 5G phone soon: Specifications, price, and more
Reliance Jio has planned to introduce the new 5G smartphone in India. In a previous statement, the company said that it is developing the smartphone, but did not reveal further details. At the AGM last year, the Mukesh Ambani-headed tech company launched the first Jio smartphone, which was named Jio Phone Next with 4G support. The previous phone supported 4G, but Reliance aims to provide an affordable 5G phone to Indian people as the country prepares for a 5G rollout. According to reports, Jio Phone 5G is expected to arrive in India by the end of the year.

Jio 5G phone price
The price of Jio’s 5G smartphone in India could be less than INR 12,000. One of the most affordable 5G smartphones in the market right now from a trusted brand is the Samsung M13 5G which was recently launched at INR 13,999. Jio’s 5G smartphone may go on sale during the upcoming festive season of Diwali. JioPhone Next was also launched during Diwali 2021.
Jio JioPhone 5G Expected Specifications
According to reports, the JioPhone 5G will run on Android 11 (Go Edition) and feature a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is also said to have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC with at least 4GB of RAM. Jio is said to offer an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor on the JioPhone 5G.
