LPG Customers soon free to pick their distributors, here’s how it works

LPG Customers soon free to select their delivery distributors, Here’s how
Customers will be able to select their “Delivering Distributor” from a list of distributors catering to their address within their Oil Marketing Company using the new facility (OMC). This facility will be offered in Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Pune, and Ranchi during the pilot phase, which will begin soon.
The consumer would be offered a list of delivering distributors along with their performance rating when ordering LPG refill via mobile app/customer portal using registered login. To receive an LPG refill, the client can choose from any of the distributors on the list that are available in his or her location.

The Oil Marketing Companies under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas are continually improving their facilities to give a smooth digital experience to clients, as part of the Digital India agenda. Because of the constraints imposed by COVID-19, the necessity for contactless transactions has grown even more essential.
OMCs have implemented digital efforts to assist clients to arrange and pay for LPG refills via digital platforms, leveraging technology. Customers can also use the UMANG app or the Bharat Bill Pay System applications and platforms to schedule LPG refills.
How consumers can book their LPG refill digitally?
- Customers may use their registered login to book refills using a mobile app/customer portal.
- Customers would be offered a list of delivering distributors along with their ratings. Consumers can then choose from the list of distributors available in their location.
- Through these portals and applications, customers may book refills, update personal records, request for portability, transfer of connection, address change, and any other refill-related services.
- Indane’s website is https://cx.indianoil.in, and the IndianOil One mobile app is available. The webpage for Bharat Gas is https://my.ebharatgas.com, and the app is Hello BPCL. HPGas has a website at https://myhpgas.in and a mobile app called HP Pay.
- Refills for LPG may also be scheduled through the UMANG (Unified Mobile App for New Governance) app or the Bharat Bill Pay System applications and platforms. In addition, popular e-commerce applications like Amazon and Paytm may be used to schedule refills and make payments.
- In light of the Covid-19 regulations, the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) have enhanced their digital facilities for contactless transactions. Customers can also use WhatsApp to contact the OMCs. The WhatsApp numbers for Indane are 75888 88824, Bharat Gas is 1800224344, and HP Gas is 9222201122.
