Hailing from a humble service class family, Sarita Sarvria always possessed a heightened spirit of being an independent woman who can challenge the norms set by the patriarchal society. Starting a business from scratch was not a piece of cake for her and that too, without any relevant business background. But the unwavering support from her beloved parents and their instilled values in her, paved her path for the entrepreneurial success.
Since from childhood, Sarita was an avid dreamer with some exemplary leadership qualities. After attaining her Bachelors, she joined Housekeeping Department at Taj Hotel in New Delhi. She was the pioneer who shattered the stereotypes to have started her career in the hotel industry, even in the era of 80’s. Though she encountered resistance here and there due to societal impediments, but her indomitable spirits chiselled the way to a roaring success in the end.
Sarita has always been a person who likes to travel a less travelled road. She attained extensive experience in Indian Hotel line and later exposed herself to the high standards of housekeeping while working with the industry experts. She further adds,
“Part of my training program allowed me to visit several properties of Taj Group to get enlightened with better ways of working in the housekeeping department. The light bulb moment for me was when my training excursion trip to London made me realized the untapped potential of HK agencies in Indian markets. It instantly hit me to start something ‘similar yet unique’ in the Indian subcontinent too.”
Acknowledging this idea, she plunged in by researching and attaining the immense knowledge of the business dynamics. Eventually, she laid the foundation of her very first brainchild by pioneering the concept of housekeeping services in India.
Undeniably, calling off from a well-established job to shift into a labour-oriented and male-dominated space was not a cakewalk. A young woman, chasing her passion with just 25000 INR in hand, the road was definitely not easy. But her sheer dedication and determination to prove her prowess to the world made her a successful women entrepreneur who has become a role model to many others today

Be the caption of your ship and forge ahead with full confidence. I know the time is hard as the pandemic has hit the nation again but be patient and positive, we will get through this too. Work harder and have faith. Value employment and be wise with dealing with money. Develop clarity and shatter the mirrors of negativity. Spread love and leave your sparkle wherever you go.”

Apart from this, she has envisioned to majorly contribute in the ‘girl child education’ by establishing a ‘NonProfitable Foundation’. This initiative will take absolute care of the educational costs of the little girls who are unable to pursue higher education due to financial crisis.
The insightful leader accentuates that she desires to giving back to the society by ensuring brighter future prospects to girls, as it is said if a woman is educated, her entire clan is educated. Being an entrepreneur from passion and altruist at heart, Sarita has sponsored the education expenses of over 75 girls who are the children of her supervisory and lower rank staff members. Her exemplary step is aligned with reforming the society and empowering the upcoming women generation to make a social impact.
CROSSING MILESTONES, SCALING THE LADDER OF SUCCESS
So far, the company has been able to hit the crescendo of success by crossing the aspired milestones of 300 Cr turnover. And extending its dynamic presence across eastern, western and southern region was yet another achievement to them. The Founder says that ensuring employment to over 18000 manpower across the nation like India, where unemployment is at its peak, bestows them with a sense of contentment and it is an exemplary attainment on its own.
“Our business operations are allowing over 1 lac people to attain bread and butter on a daily basis, which gives us a sense of immense delight,” affirms Sarita.
Moreover, one of its worth-a-glance recognitions is that EHK’s extraordinary business model(since 2019) has been taught under Business Studies in the Government schools of New Delhi, for higher secondary classes. Referring to this, Sarita states that she is humbled to be the epitome of success to the upcoming generations who dare to dream big and work hard to manifest it in their lives.
