Soon Update Your Aadhaar Details Sitting at Home
Aadhaar Update
For Aadhaar card holders, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has some good news. The Aadhaar issuing authority will soon provide doorstep services, eliminating the need to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or a post office. This will be accomplished through the post office, and you will soon notice mail carriers delivering letters and Aadhaar services to your door. The UIDAI, according to a report, is putting in place the necessary procedures to ensure that this happens as soon as possible.
Thanks to the Unique Identification Authority of India, Aadhar-related services such as connecting your phone number to your Aadhar, updating other information, and so on will soon be available at your doorstep (UIDAI). This means you won’t have to go to the Aadhar Seva Kendra to get these services.
The UIDAI is currently training 48,000 India Post Payment Bank postmen in this area. After the training, they will deliver Aadhar services to your home. According to sources, up to 1.5 lakh postal officers will be trained in two phases. According to officials, the postmen have also been trained to reach out to more people across the ID and enrol them in the Aadhar program as part of the UIDAI’s expansion goal.
Postmen will be provided with the necessary digital equipment, including an Aadhar kit that can be used on a desktop or laptop to update Aadhar card holders’ information or enroll children in Aadhar number issuance. Officials stated “The UIDAI is making all necessary preparations to ensure that the strategy is implemented smoothly.”
Aside from that, the UIDAI will enroll approximately 13,000 banking correspondents currently employed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s Common Service Centre. The UIDAI intends to open an Aadhar Sewa Kendra in each of the country’s 755 districts to update the data as quickly as possible. Most of the country’s 50,000 daily Aadhaar detail updates come from urban areas. According to the official, people in rural areas must update their information at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. To address this issue, the UIDAI plans to open a “mini” Aadhar Seva Kendra in each of the country’s 7224 blocks, which will be equipped to carry out these functions.
State government or municipal space will be required for the Aadhar Sewa Kendra and the mini kendras. “We presume state governments to sustain UIDAI.”
