Tata Motors Chairman N Chandrasekaran stated that the company’s business strategy will be geared toward sustainable transportation in the future.
In his letter to shareholders, he stated that the automaker aspires to be a global leader in sustainable mobility solutions and that as part of that, it is looking at forming partnerships in cell and battery production to ensure supplies for its green car portfolio.
Tata Motors, according to Chandrasekaran, will be the automotive world’s torch-bearer for green mobility, creating a virtuous cycle of development and profits. “We are certain that the move to sustainable transportation is a mature idea,” he added. “The company will grab this opportunity to alter consumer behavior in India and worldwide.”
The business has been looking for cell and battery production agreements in India and Europe. Tata Motors is also considering the automotive software and engineering sector, according to Chandrasekaran.
He anticipated that environmental sustainability and climate resilience would become more important and scrutinized in the very core of corporate structures. He stated that Tata Motors intends to capitalize on these megatrends and make sustainable business models a cornerstone of its strategy.
