WhatsApp Working on Animated Heart Emojis: Here’s how it works
By Sanjay Maurya
WhatsApp is anticipated to add animation to all of the love emojis included in the messaging app’s emoji section soon. According to WaBetaInfo’s screenshots, all of the heart emoji’s colors will have an animation effect, which will boost their aesthetic attractiveness. Only the red heart emoji offers beating animation right now. People will soon be able to send colored heart emojis with beating animation. According to reports, this animation feature is right now under development and not available for beta testers.
instant messaging and voice-over-IP service
- Original author(s) – Brian Acton, Jan Koum
- Developer(s) – Meta Platforms and Will Cathcart (Head of WhatsApp)
- Initial release – 12 years ago – January 2009
- Available in – 60 (Android) and 40 (iOS) languages
This small update is planned to be released for both Android and iOS users. For WhatsApp Web and Desktop, the same animation is already available. As a result, before the release, users may test the new animation effect on these platforms. The smartphone version of WhatsApp, on the other hand, currently continue to display various heart emojis without animation.
WhatsApp is also developing a feature known as ‘Message responses.’ Users will be able to respond to messages with specific emojis as a result of this. Like a sticker, this emoji will be applied to the message. In simple words, the instant massaging platform will feature a reaction details page that will reveal who all reacted to an emoji message.
You won’t have to send different emojis by marking a certain message this way. This function is comparable to how Instagram’s ‘Direct Message’ (DM) section allows users to reply to posts or messages with emojis. According to reports, the functionality has been discovered in one of the iOS beta versions. ‘Message responses’ have yet to be rolled out to Android beta testers.
When the firm plans to distribute it on all platforms is presently unknown. Apart from that, the messaging app is rumored to be preparing the addition of two new visual indicators in Call and Status, which would remind users that WhatsApp offers end-to-end encryption for both personal calls and status. The capability was recently discovered on WhatsApp’s iOS app. The identical update is anticipated to be released for Android users as well.
