SMI is the innovative venture of a passionate technologist, Mr Selva Ganesh (CEO). Loaded with more than 25 years of rich experience in technology and management, Mr Selvaganesh has witnessed the emerging open doors of opportunity in technology and to explore them, he desired to develop a company that builds business through technology solutions. And this led to laying the foundation stone of SMI in 2006 with its core values revolving around Client focus, Integrity & Transparency. TRANSFORMING INTO GLOBAL TECH SPACE
The history of this renowned start-up was born from the CEO’s strong will to reach new heights with very humble beginnings. With that ambition, SMI’s initial steps were contributed by near and dear ones, since recruiting tech professionals in that period wasn’t an easy task. But these baby steps picked up momentum when the existing contributors brought in more people. Thus SMI started recruiting tech-geeks.
Within 5 months of inception, the Company had a holistic HR framework that massively contributed to its expansion. Mr Selvaganesh was also assisted by Mr Balakrishnan Subramanian (CFO) and Mr Manikandan P (CTO). Mr Balakrishnan is one of the prime members at SMI driving a pragmatic approach to achieve success and he manages SMI’s financial aspects including payroll.
On the other hand, Mr Manikandan has an eye for detail of all the technological developments spanning multiple teams and he ensures feasible solutions to complement the business objectives. He brings along with him more than a decade of expertise in technical matters and has been one of SMI’s core members.
With the proper collaboration of resources, SMI made a major breakthrough in a commendably short period of time. The first step forward was the partnership with Vendormate. Back then, Vendormate was seeking an outsourcing partner that could manage its product portfolio. This opportunity turned the tide for SMI. Within the next 5 years, SMI was transformed into a fully-fledged technology partner of Vendormate and helped it become one of the strongest leaders in Vendor Credentialing across Atlanta, Georgia. During this time Vendormate was acquired by Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX).
The acquisition paved the way for SMI’s 2nd breakthrough. SMI established a partnership with GHX, earning access to their platform and since then SMI is constantly delivering quality world-class products. To build its iconic team, SMI focused on Cross-cutting Project Managers to Individual Project Managers for specific project needs; thus, ensuring client’s confidence and delivering quality. SMI has one of the very niche talent acquisition team, who are always in touch with the purple squirrels, the reason behind accommodating world-class techies under one single roof.
SYNCED WITH TRENDS AND TECHNOLOGIES
SMI’s adaptability and technical competence are governed by its Center Of Excellence team.
“Our COE holds the radar to Assess, Try, and Adopt latest platforms, processes, technologies and tools”, explains Mr Selvaganesh.
The COE team is keen on pursuing R&D practices to create common components across GHX product lines. The technological integration of GHX – SCM Domain helps SMI channel out various ways for product development. They draw a proper engineering plan that covers product improvement and roadmap framework for peer engineering management. It also helps in understanding a customer by domain and architecture with customer KPIs.
SMI also involves in exclusive product marketing approaches to expand its demographical footprints and strengthen the brand value in their Product lineups. The Company has an uncategorized client base (various domains and sizes), and SMI’s focus revolves around automating their business.
“Our existing customers are our strength, so we are in sync with them on all our product marketing”, states Mr Selvaganesh.

Keeping the focus on customer retention and service quality, the Company had crafted a unique business continuity framework to adapt to the change.
