As of October 21st, Instagram will introduce image and video uploading functionality to the desktop version on the platform, giving social media managers a more centralized way to manage their IG presence. At this time, the process will only allow users to upload photos and videos that are less than one minute long.
It will not allow users to upload Reels. However, it will make it a little easier for social media administrators to remain on top of their numerous applications and postings by allowing them to publish content for each platform from a single location – eliminating the need to save photographs in various ways and then upload them from your phone.
Wabetainfo claims that Instagram is finally experimenting with allowing users to submit longer Stories beyond 30 seconds. Users can currently only post Stories that are less than 30 seconds long. Alessandro Paluzzi, on the other hand, has discovered the option of 60-second Instagram stories. He also disclosed that videos shorter than 60 seconds will no longer be segmented. The features will be available on Instagram by October 21.
Instagram has been experimenting with desktop publishing for a while, with a public test of desktop uploads starting in June. As a result, only a few people have had access to the choice for a few months, but now it will be available to all users worldwide to enhance your Instagram experience.
How to post on Instagram from Desktop?
- In the top right corner click the + button.
- Drag and drop videos or photos, or select from your Desktop.
- Use filters and edit if required.
- Add geotag after caption and tag people.
- Click on the Share button.
Instagram is also developing new features to make the platform more kid-friendly. The photo-sharing app will now have a new option that encourages teenagers to “take a break” from Instagram and encourages them to stay away from hazardous content. Nick Clegg, Facebook’s vice president of global affairs, revealed the new features. Clegg made the statement immediately after an ex-Facebook employee turned whistleblower made explosive charges about Facebook affecting teenage users via Instagram.
