Amazon to launch TikTok-like shopping experience to lift-up shopping mood
Given the popularity of Tiktok and Instagram Reels, Amazon is also working on such a feature. According to reports, the e-commerce giant Amazon is testing a feed like TikTok. With this, users will be able to explore the products in the form of photos and videos on the shopping app.
The Wall Street Journal has reported on this. It has been told in the report that Amazon can add a new feature ‘Inspire’ on its main shopping app. Its testing is being done with some employees of the company.

Users can access the feed by clicking the “light bulb” button on the bottom bar of the Amazon app.
The feature will be available to select US users starting this month (December) and will roll out to all users in the country in the coming months. According to Amazon, Inspire is only available in the Amazon Shopping mobile app and there’s no word on the desktop version right now.
To get started with Inspire, customers will open the Amazon Shopping app and tap Inspire’s icon. Upon the first launch, they’re prompted to choose from over 20 interests, including makeup, hiking, interior design, skin care, pets, gaming, plants, travel, running, and more, so that their Inspire feed can be personalized.
The company has warned that its 4th quarter sales could fall below expectations, and it recently moved to cut thousands of corporate roles. In the coming months, Amazon may lay off around 20,000 employees, including corporate executives, according to a Computerworld report. The tech giant, which employs more than 1.6 million globally, will likely show the door to employees from various departments. These include technology staff, delivery staff, and corporate officers.
