Amarnath Yatra 2022 online registration: Here’s how to register and other details

The annual Amarnath Yatra 2022 is expected to begin this year after a gap of two years following the advent of the Covid pandemic. The online registration of Yatra started on Monday (April 11). The Amarnath Yatra could not be conducted in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
How to register for Amarnath Yatra 2022?
- Visit Amarnathji Shrine Board(SASB)
- Find the “what’s new” section
- Click on the register online option.
- A new page will open.
- Click on the link.
- Now, provide all the required details and submit the yatra registration.
- Registration for the Yatra has begun in 446 Jammu and Kashmir Bank, PNB Bank, Yes Bank, and 100 SBI Bank branches across the country.
- RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags will be handed to pilgrims, allowing the Shrine board to track their movements.
Documents required
- Filled-in prescribed Application Form
- Prescribed Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued on or after the stated date by the Authorized Doctor/ Medical Institution.
- Photographs in passport size (three for Yatra Permits and one for the Application form)
Age limit for Amarnath Yatra
Anyone under the age of 13 or above the age of 75, as well as women who are more than six weeks pregnant, are not authorised to register for the Yatra.
Yatra Date
Yatra will commence on June 30 and conclude on August 11.
Amarnath Yatra registration fee – INR 120
Yatris who registered last year must pay an additional INR 20 for the fee, which was INR 100 last year and is now INR 120, according to Yatender Kumar, Deputy General Manager of Punjab National Bank, Jammu, as reported by ANI.
People from all over the world participate in the Amarnath Yatra and they travel through the daunting mountains every year in the summer months to the Shri Amarnathji Shrine in South Kashmir.
Where to stay – near the Yatra location, hotels and tents are easily available. It is, however, strongly advised that you arrange your lodging ahead of time.
Where to eat: Apart from the restaurants, pilgrims can find enough food at various “Bhandaras” and Tea stalls located near the main caves. Because the trip is long and exhausting, it is recommended that you bring your water bottles.
