Amazon Prime membership to get expensive from December 13, check the new price list here
By Sanjay Maurya
If you want to buy an Amazon Prime membership, you only have a few days to do it at the previous pricing. That’s because, starting December 13, Amazon will raise the price of Prime membership. The price increase would affect Amazon Prime’s current annual, monthly, and quarterly subscriptions. The price adjustment was verified on Amazon’s support website.
Amazon Prime New Price List
Name of the Plan | Membership Fee/Price | New Price | Validity |
Amazon Prime Monthly Plan | INR 129 | INR 179 | 1 Month |
Amazon Prime Quarterly Plan | INR 329 | INR 459 | 3 Months |
Amazon Prime Yearly Plan | INR 999 | INR 1499 | 1 Year |
Note: The Youth Member deal, which is now available for INR 749, will be available for INR 499.
The yearly premier membership would cost INR 500 extra under the revised price list. This implies that the yearly membership plan, which is now priced at INR 999, will cost INR 1499 after December 13, the quarterly membership plan, which is currently marketed at INR 329, will cost INR 459, and the monthly membership plan, which is currently priced at INR 129 in India, would cost INR 179. It’s worth noting that existing Prime members will be unaffected by the price increase. Prime members, on the other hand, will be required to pay the increased amount whenever their current Prime membership expires.
How much extra would you pay for an Amazon subscription
“Existing Prime members can keep their subscription at the existing price for as long as their membership plan is active. You can, however, choose to renew your membership at the current price after the price change “Amazon Prime mentions this on its website. Youth membership plans, on the other hand, will now be less expensive.
Users between the ages of 18 and 24 can join the Youth membership options. The new package is currently available at INR 749. Instead of a price increase, these memberships will see a decrease. The Youth Member deal, which is now available for INR749, will be available for INR 499. The monthly and quarterly Prime membership fees would be reduced to INR 64 from INR 89 and INR 164 from 299 respectively.
Prime is more than just a streaming service; it also offers a slew of other perks to its members. Aside from unlimited access to the entire Amazon Prime catalogue, users also get an ad-free access to 70 million songs with Amazon Music, unlimited 5% rewards points on Amazon shopping with the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card, free in-game content on popular mobile games with Prime Gaming, and free access to a rotating selection of thousands of books with Prime Reading. Another significant perk is access to the annual Prime Day deal, which is open only to Prime members. Members also receive first dibs on any major sale events that the firm hosts.
