CM inaugurates Tata tea packaging plant of INR 100 crore in Odisha

CM inaugurates Tata tea packaging plant of INR 100 crore in Odisha
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched a Tata Consumer Products Limited tea packaging plant at Gopalpur Industrial Park on 22 July. The plant was completed in 18 months for a cost of INR 100 crore, according to authorities.
The plant, which was completed in 18 months for a total investment of INR 100 crore, is expected to become the country’s largest tea packaging plant, complete with modern amenities and state-of-the-art technologies. It now has a tea production capacity of 15 million kg, which will be increased to 50 million kg in the future.
Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Central India are among the states that would benefit from the unit. More than 900 people will be employed in Ganjam as a result of this project.
Amalgamated Plantations, a Tata Consumer Products company, will manage the facility. The chief minister praised the Tata Group’s contribution to Odisha’s industrial growth.
They’ve also planning to assist catalyze social development by tie-ups with the Odisha government on education, health, and skill development programs. During the COVID epidemic, thank Tata Group for supporting the state government with mobilizing medical oxygen, PSA, plants, and vital accessories. CM, Naveen Patnaik, stated.
The State’s policy framework and facilitation mechanisms have been effective in attracting investments in a variety of industries, including food processing, petrochemicals, garments and textiles. The continuing diversification of Odisha’s industrial base would boost job possibilities much more, he added. He also praised the Tata Group’s contribution to Odisha’s industrial growth, saying that it has been playing an important role in the state’s development.
Tata Steel Managing Director TV Narendran stated that in the previous five years, the company has spent over INR 60,000 crore in Odisha, including INR 500 crore for infrastructure development at the Gopalpur Special Economic Zone.
