DU launches 6 ‘job-oriented’ courses in SOL; here’s all you need to know
Delhi University has launched six new courses to provide more employment-oriented programs for students. These courses include the Master of Business Administration as part of the School of Open Learning (SOL). Delhi University Chancellor Yogesh Singh said that SOL has completed 60 years and no new course has been announced for a long time.

“We are bringing six new courses in the School of Open Learning (SOL). The first course in Master of Business Administration. The second is Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), Bachelor of Arts-Economics (Hons), Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Library and Information Sciences, Masters of Library and Information Sciences,” said Yogesh Singh. There are unlimited number of seats in all five new courses except MBA. A total of 20,000 seats have been reserved for MBA students, who will be admitted based on merit.
Yogesh Singh said, “For the first time in the history of DU, some management and other professional courses have been introduced through DDCE at both the UG and PG levels. It will set a standard by providing inclusive and quality education to all.” The chancellor said that these courses at the UG level and PG level will significantly improve the employability of students and help them make strategic decisions.
“These are very important courses–BBA, MBA, which is a very prestigious course of DU, Bachelor of Management Studies. There are management courses and job-oriented courses. A lot of students are unable to get admission into Economic courses in regular mode. This is also a flagship course of Delhi University,” said Payal Mago, director of the Campus of Open Learning.
