Fox Star Studios rebrands to Star Studios

Fox Star Studios, one of India’s leading movie production houses, on Friday (May 27) introduced a new visual identity and announced that it has been rebranded to Star Studios. Fox Star Studios has been known for hits like Sanju, M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story, Neerja, Chhichhore, and many more.

“Through Star Studios, we hope to attract the best creative minds and provide original content to viewers with a wide range of tastes in entertainment.” From enormous visual spectacles to family dramas and everything in between, we’re developing a diverse range of stories across genres. In a statement, Bikram Duggal, head of studios at Disney Star, said, “We are delighted to create a collaborative studio environment at Star Studios that helps create cinematic experiences across theatrical and direct-to-digital films,” adding that the company has already announced a few films and will have more coming up.”
In March 2008, Fox Star Studios was established as a joint venture between 20th Century Fox and Indian television broadcaster Star India. The studio acquired the distribution and co-production rights for Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan in 2009, marking the studio’s debut as a distributor and co-producer. In June 2018, Walt Disney acquired Rupert Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox Inc. in a $71 billion cash and stock deal, making Star India, Fox Star Studios, and Hotstar part of Walt Disney.

- A remake of the Malayalam film Hridayam co-produced by Dharma Productions.
companies need to be rebranded for a variety of reasons, including worldwide expansion, new management, a tarnished reputation, or an outdated image. Whatever it is, it’s important to have a strong brand that people will remember.
