The operational positions will be clearly announced once Jet Airways has its Air Operator Certificate, according to Sanjiv Kapoor, the company’s CEO (AOC).
“So far, we’ve only hired a few people for our proving flight and AOC. After AOC, we will advertise for operational posts straightforwardly and transparently. It will be an opportunity to make history together by resurrecting the much-loved and much-missed Jet Airways!, “He sent out a tweet.
In 2019, the firm was buried in debt, and it became the first airline to go through a reformed insolvency resolution process. Murari Lal Jalan, a Dubai-based Indian-origin billionaire, and Florian Fritsch, the chairman of London-based financial advice and alternative asset management Kalrock Capital Management Ltd., have agreed to spend up to $120 million on the company’s resurrection.
Kapoor is no stranger to piloting aircraft through stormy skies. As for SpiceJet Ltd.’s chief operational officer in 2014, he guided the low-cost carrier through a period when it was extremely cash-strapped. He also served as the chief strategy and commercial officer for Vistara, a Tata Group-owned airline.
