SpiceJet new scheme allows Passengers to Pay Ticket fare in Installments, here’s how it works
By Sanjay Maurya
SpiceJet, a low-cost airline, has announced a new ticket payment option that allows travelers to pay for their tickets in installments. The airline has launched a ‘Pay Later’ or ‘Cardless EMI’ plan that gives travellers more flexibility, affordability, and convenience by allowing them to buy an aircraft ticket online and pay in three, six, nine, or twelve installments.
Capital Float is the company behind the ‘Walnut 369’ payment solution, which will be offered on SpiceJet’s payment page. According to the airline, the new function provides passengers with a completely cardless experience, since no credit or debit card information is necessary to obtain EMIs.
“Customers will be able to take advantage of a three-month EMI option at no additional cost (no interest) as part of the launch offer,” the airline said in a news statement. Passengers must give basic information such as their PAN number, Aadhar number, or VID and authenticate it with a one-time password to be eligible for the EMI plan, according to the website. Customers must pay the first EMI by adding their UPI ID, and the remaining EMIs will be debited from the same UPI ID, according to the company.
SpiceJet’s Chief Commercial Officer, Shilpa Bhatia, said, “Our innovative concept strives to bring greater convenience and allow travellers to pay in easy installments according to their budget.” “Moreover, if a client wants to pay off the loan before the set EMI period, they may do so and there would be no foreclosure fee,” Bhatia stated.

SpiceJet announced the commencement of 28 additional domestic flights around the nation earlier this month in October, with service beginning on October 31. The airline has announced the start of new numerous nonstop flights connecting Rajasthan’s tourism destinations of Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Udaipur with major metros and towns. This was part of SpiceJet’s new winter schedule, according to the airline.
SpiceJet has planned to connect Bagdogra with Ahmedabad, Kolkata with Srinagar, and the Bengaluru-Pune sector with two additional flights. The government issued an order on October 12 that abolished any limitations on an airline’s trip capacity, and the order has been in force since October 18. When the government restarted scheduled domestic flights following a two-month hiatus on May 25, last year, the ministry only authorized airlines to run 33% of their pre-COVID services. Until September of this year, the maximum was steadily extended to up to 85 percent.
