Tata Motors plans to drive in new models, aims to increase sales network
Tata Motors Limited is a multinational automobile manufacturer based in India. Tata Motors is one of the few firms in the world that offer a large collection to its customers, with over 8.5 million Tata-branded vehicles on the road worldwide.
Tata Motors intends to develop new models and expand its sales network to maintain its double-digit market share in the highly competitive domestic market, according to the company.
After nine years, the automaker, which sells models like the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari, battled its way up to over 10% market share in the passenger vehicle segment in July this year, and now wants to keep it with a slew of measures.
By the conclusion of the fiscal year, the company expects to establish roughly 250 sales outlets to increase volume and attract new clients.
We have a market share of 10.3% after only four months. Still, we have two major launches planned, one of which is the Hornbill. In addition, we are always coming up with new and innovative interventions to add to our current portfolio. Chandra (Tata Motors President) stated we are pretty confident of maintaining this position.
Chandra stated that the company moved from doing roughly 11,000 units per month last year to 30,000 units this year and that this turnaround was made possible by many marketing, planning, and production initiatives.
Chandra stated that the company has been able to build a sufficient inventory for the festive season because it does not want to miss out on any retail opportunities. Some of the challenges that could derail the process, according to Chandra, are the third wave of COVID-19 and a semiconductor shortage.
In terms of sales network expansion, he claimed that the company would add another 200-250 outlets this fiscal year. Apart from caring about its internal processes, the automaker also took part in many initiatives to assist its business partners.
