69 Indian University Made It To The QS World University List: JNU Bagged 20th Position

The 2024 edition of the World University Ranking list was published on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, by Quacquarelli Symonds. Among the Indian universities JNU (JawaharLal Nehru University) has topped the list and has been placed at 20th position globally among the 500 universities included in the list.
QS World Ranking has been published in 5 broad subject areas, further divided into 55 separate subjects across 1,559 educational institutions (including 64 fresh universities into the list for the first time).
Among these all universities 69, are from India, including JNU, DU, several IITs and IIMs. India’s overall position has improved significantly from the last published ranking. An overall of 17%-19% can be seen in its global ranking.
As per the report University of Sussex in UK, followed by University of Oxford, SOAS University of London, The London School of Economics and Political Science and University of Cambridge have bagged top 5 ranks under the Development studies category.
