Some Twitter accounts will have the new Tip Jar icon next to the Follow button on the profile page. Those who can or want to add the feature to their profile will be able to allow a list of payment methods or platforms via which their audience may donate to their cause. The Tip Jar icon will display all of these payment choices.

The Indian payment channel was not implemented, the functionalities were not pushed out in India. Razorpay has officially been added to Twitter’s list of payment options. Notably, the feature is only available to a certain set of people. Tip Jar can only be added to the profile by artists, journalists, and public personalities.

Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal, and Venmo are among the services mentioned by Twitter in a recent blog post. Within Twitter Spaces, Android users will be able to send tips. Twitter explains that it does not profit from these recommendations.

“At first, only a small number of people will be able to add Tip Jar to their profile. Creators, journalists, public personalities, specialists, and community leaders are among the members of this group. It’s the first of a slew of new options for creators to monetize their work and get money from their most ardent fans coming soon. Through third-party payment systems, anybody may give tips to relevant Twitter accounts on iOS and Android.

Twitter users in India will be able to donate to their favorite content creators and organizations using UPI, credit and debit cards, net banking, wallets, and other methods. Twitter has stated that it intends to expand the functionality to include more payment providers from across the world.
