World’s most powerful passports in 2022: Here’s the complete list
The Henley Passport Index for 2022 has been published by London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & Partners, based on unique data given by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Even while the world continues to deal with the COVID-19 epidemic, Japan and Singapore lead the list of the most powerful passports in the world for the year 2022, according to the newest research. Both of these nations have a visa-free score of 192.
With a visa-free score of 26 and 28, Afghanistan (rank 111) and Iraq (rank 110) remain in the ‘worst passports to hold’ category. According to the research, Japanese have visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to as many as 192 countries across the world. Singapore is tied at the first position (with a score of 192) and South Korea ties with Germany in second place (with a score of 190).
World’s best passports to hold in 2022
India has increased its ranking in the most powerful passport report, moving up to 83rd place from 90th place previously, with a visa-free score of 60. Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, and Spain are tied at the third place in terms of the world’s most powerful passports, with a visa-free score of 189. The United States and the United Kingdom have moved up one spot to sixth place.
