Artificial intelligence has paved its way into the field of education. It is not just a trend but a revolutionary shift marking and redefining the future of education. With the integration of artificial intelligence into the field of education, learning has been made personalized, dynamic and meaningful. Either for students or educators, artificial intelligence is revolutionizing education to a greater extent.
Teachers are using AI driven lesson planning and technology for better teaching learning experience. If a student is facing any problem in understanding a concept, he or she can use AI generated tools to understand the concept with the help of diagrams and explanation.
As per a recent data by McKinsey and company, the rise of artificial intelligence in modern classroom is expected to reach $25.7 billion by the end of 2030. UNESCO says that artificial intelligence is such an instrument which can be used to address long term educational challenges such as shortage of educators, learning gaps and curriculum adaptability.
In this blog, we are going to discuss how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing classrooms in 2025.
- Personalised learning experience: Artificial intelligence is providing tailored content after analysing performance of students, learning speed and learning preferences. Materials and resources are recommended to students after analysing and keeping in view the unique style of each student ensuring that they are receiving educational content at the perfect difficulty level. AI generated tools are also used to create adaptive learning paths.
It can be used to suggest extra exercises for struggling students and more advanced and complex problems can be given to brilliant students. Thus, AI can be used to engage every type of students. It can also be used to track the progress of student identify the knowledge gaps and common mistakes and provide immediate which are remedial tips to them.
- Student support and engagement: Artificial intelligence can act as a virtual tutor and smart assistants which can provide 24 *7 instant answers to the queries of students. It can also offer some additional resource such as practice questions, quizzes and translate lesson into multiple language. It will help in reducing confusion and fostering independent and self-paced learning.
With the help of virtual and augmented reality, AI can create interactive and engaging learning experience for the students. Students will be able to explore ancient civilizations perform virtual experiments and even go on a virtual journey through geological landscape. AI will enhance gamification by making the learning process more interactive and motivating.
- Empowerment of teachers and streamlining administration: Artificial intelligence can be used to evaluate answers of written questions, quizzes and assignments in minutes. The automated system can offer detailed insights into mistakes done by students and learning trends. When artificial intelligence will perform assessment, then teachers can focus more on teaching and providing support to students.
It can also be used to foster administrative efficiency. It can perform task such as attendance tracking, scheduling and lesson planning which will reduce the workload of teachers and allow them to give more time to one-to-one interaction and providing students guidance and support. It can also be used to analyse huge amount of data in order to identify any particular pattern or trend which can help educators to predict the performance of a particular students and identify the early stage of disengagement. Through this insight, educators can make informed decision about resource allocation and curriculum. AI tools can also be used for content creation. Teachers can use generative artificial intelligence to create a customized Lesson plan, quizzes and interactive simulations to cater to the need of diverse learning needs.
- Accessibility and inclusivity: AI tools can provide support to the students with special need. Special students can perform AI powered translations such as speech to text and text to speech. It will also help students with language barriers and learning differences to access learning with an independent and democratic environment. AI driven tools support a global reach and a virtual classroom which promote cross cultural learning and collaboration. Students can learn more effectively and again quality education in an accessible and affordable manner.
What are the challenges of integration of artificial intelligence in classroom?
- Artificial intelligence is creating a digital divide among students. All students do not have equal access to artificial intelligence technology. Students coming from rural areas have not even Internet connection. Thus, it is not providing equal opportunities to access this technology and fostering digital divide among students.
- Another key challenge of integration of artificial intelligence into the field of education is data privacy and security concern. Educators can use artificial intelligence to keep anecdotal reports. These types of records are very private and sensitive. In case of privacy breach, such a sensitive data can be misused which arise question to the security of artificial intelligence tools.
- Teachers lack adequate training. Even in the present time there are certain teachers who cannot effectively use digital devices. Therefore, training of teacher is necessary as it is equally important for the professional development of educators so that they will be able to integrate artificial intelligence into their teaching practices.
- Over dependency on these digital tools is highly condemned. Educators must focus on maintaining interaction with students as a machine cannot provide empathy and build personal connection with students.
Conclusion
Integration of artificial intelligence into the field of education definitely showing a shift towards digital India. With the help of AI, not only students but educators are also learning and trying to simplify the contents by bringing complex concept into a simpler one. Learning is becoming more creative as well as informative with the help of AI tools. Yet, artificial intelligence is posing a major challenge. AI can help students to learn better when it is implemented ethically and it must involve transparency.
With these two key elements, education can be made better and efficient for everyone. Artificial intelligence is not about replacing human educators but it is about creating a more engaged and efficient learning environment for both teachers and students to foster the overall learning outcome.
