JioBook 2023 Laptop Launches in India with 4G Connectivity & 8 Hours of Battery Life

Jio launched the JioBook (2023) in India, marking the release of its second laptop model. The new laptop boasts a plastic body and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT 8788 processor. Featuring a JioBlue shade and an embedded Jio SIM card, the JioBook 4G offers various connectivity options, including dual-band Wi-Fi and an HDMI mini port. Additionally, it is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery claimed to provide up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge.
JioBook (2023) Price and Availability in India
The JioBook (2023) is priced at INR 16,499 in India. It is available in a sole Jio Blue color option and can be pre-ordered through Amazon, Reliance Digital’s e-commerce website, and leading retail stores. The laptop is scheduled to go on sale starting August 5. Notably, Reliance had previously launched its first JioBook in October last year, priced at INR 15,799.
About JioBook (2023)
The JioBook (2023) operates on the Android-based JioOS operating system and features an 11.6-inch HD display with a resolution of 768X1,366 pixels. This 4G laptop comes with a plastic body and an inbuilt 4G SIM card. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT8788 processor paired with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. Furthermore, the storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. In contrast, the previous year’s JioBook was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of eMMC storage.
Connectivity and Other Features
The JioBook (2023) offers several connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, an HDMI mini port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes equipped with dual stereo speakers and features a 2-megapixel Web camera. The laptop’s 5,000mAh battery is capable of providing up to eight hours of battery life on a single charge. Additionally, the JioBook (2023) is remarkably lightweight, weighing just 990 grams, in comparison to the previous model, which weighed 1.2 kilograms.
