Go First to submit ‘revival’ plan to DGCA
On May 24, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) provided guidance to Go First Airlines, urging them to present a comprehensive plan for the resumption and sustainable revival of their operations. The DGCA instructed the airline to submit this plan within a 30-day timeframe.
The plan should include essential information such as the current status of operational aircraft, pilots, personnel, maintenance arrangements, and funding, among other relevant details, according to reports. Once Go First submits the revival plan, the DGCA will review it thoroughly and take appropriate actions accordingly.
Go First to Undergo DGCA Audit
According to the head of operations of Go First, the crisis-ridden airline, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will conduct an audit of the airline’s preparedness before granting approval for the resumption of flights. The airline’s representative informed the staff about this development. On May 24, a senior DGCA official stated that Go First has responded to the show cause notice issued by the regulator.
The airline’s response indicates that they are actively working on the necessary details to resume flight operations as soon as possible. It is important to note that on May 8, DGCA had issued a show cause notice to the budget carrier, citing non-compliance with the Aircraft Rules, 1937, and failure to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable services. The airline has submitted its reply to the show cause notice.
