India’s Youngest Millionaire: 4-month-Old Ekagrah Murthy

Grandpa Narayan Murthy, one of the Founders of Infosys (it is an IT giant) has gifted his 4 months old grandson 15 lakh (0.04%) stakes in Infosys which is worth Rs. 240 crore on Friday, March 15, 2024. Reducing Murthy’s stake from o.4% to 0.36% in the company.
Making Ekagrah Murthy one of the youngest millionaires in India and the youngest prompter in Infosys. Ekagrah is born to Narayan Murthy and Sudha Murthy (writer and philanthropist) son Rohan Murthy and Daughter-in-law Aparna Krishnan.
He is Narayan Murthy’s 3rd and youngest grandchild. Murthy’s daughter Akashta Murthy (first lady of UK) has two daughters, Krishna and Anoushka.
While Murthy holds 0.36% stakes, his daughter Akashta owns 1.05%, Rohan holds 1.64%, and Sudha Murthy holds 0.93% of stakes at Infosys.
Narayan Murthy is not the only one to shower grandchildren with Infosys stakes. Co-founders Nandan Nilekani and SD Shibulal have also transferred lots of stakes to their grandchildren.
