MG Motor India, a renowned British automobile brand, has launched MG StudioZ in Chennai. This immersive experience utilizes VR/AR technology to bring car enthusiasts closer to the MG brand. The studio features interactive elements such as a digital running façade, video wall configurator, and a VR/AR zone, providing visitors with a unique experience. Additionally, MG StudioZ offers a range of MG merchandise for customers to express their love for the brand and take home a part of the MG experience.
This initiative caters to the preferences and aspirations of tech-savvy urban buyers who are passionate about automobiles. MG Motor will showcase the recently launched Comet EV and ZS EV, India’s first Pure-Electric Internet SUV and Smart Electric Vehicle for Urban Mobility, respectively.

The studio embodies the fusion of technology and automotive experiences, presenting MG’s vision for the future of automotive retailing. With a focus on omnichannel brand presence, StudioZ aims to bring customers closer to the brand and enhance their purchasing journey.
Designed to captivate the younger generation, the store incorporates engaging attractions tailored for Gen Z customers.
The establishment of MG StudioZ signifies another milestone for MG Motor as an industry pioneer. The company continues to redefine automotive retail and aims to deliver exceptional products and user experiences.
MG Motor entered the Indian market in 2017 through the acquisition of General Motors India’s Halol plant. Despite facing fierce competition, the company achieved success in the premium SUV market and made its mark as one of the top three EV makers in the country. MG Motor’s future expansion plans revolve around EVs, with plans to start assembling batteries for EVs in 2024. The company is also exploring partnerships for cell manufacturing in India, with the expectation that EV sales will contribute 60-65 percent by 2028, up from 30-35 percent in 2023.
