Microsoft’s next-generation Surface Pro 8 will be released on September 22nd, and due to a tip from a Twitter user, we now know more about what the device may have to offer. A snapshot of the Surface Pro 8 from what looks to be a retail listing, as well as certain device information, was posted on Twitter by a person known as Shadow Leak. The Surface Pro 8 will have a new 13-inch 120Hz display with minimal bezels and two Thunderbolt connections, according to the reports. Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 will come pre-installed on the Surface Pro 8.
According to the reports, Microsoft will switch to removable SSDs with the Surface Pro 8. This is similar to what we’ve seen on the Surface Laptop 4, Surface Pro X, and the business-only Surface Pro 7 plus, and it’ll make switching drives easier for businesses.
According to The Verge, the Surface Pro 8 may be released without USB-A ports in favor of USB-C and Thunderbolt. According to the reports, the corporation has been working on 120Hz screens for its Surface Pro family. This relates to Shadow Leak’s Twitter post.
The Microsoft event starts at 8 a.m. PT / 8:30 p.m. IST on 22 September and will be streamed live on the company’s website. Because of the continued spread of the coronavirus, the company’s events are generally held in person, but the launch event will be held online.

With the Surface Pro 8, you can expect the pricing scale to be largely the same as it was with the Surface Pro 7. This isn’t likely to change, though it’s possible that if Microsoft sells 8GB RAM instead of 4GB in the base model, the base model will be more expensive.
