Nokia X20 finally gets first Android 12 early build, know how to download

Several smartphone OEMs launched Android 12 developer preview programmes for their devices shortly after Google released the first Android 12 beta build. Nokia was one of the first few brands to launch a developer preview programme for the Nokia X20 in May of this year. The first Android 12 developer preview build for the device has now been released by the company.
If you have a Nokia X20, you can now download the Android 12 developer preview build on your device to get a sneak peek at the future Operating system before it goes live. Download the newest version of the My Phone app on your Nokia X20 to join the developer preview programme. Scroll to the bottom of the app and tap the Support banner. Allow the app to check your IMEI by scrolling down to Android developer preview.
Once Nokia has confirmed that your device is eligible for the update, accept the software licensing terms and conditions, review the Important Notes, and then touch Confirm to proceed. Within the following 12 hours, you should receive the Android 12 developer preview build through the OTA update on your phone. You can also try to acquire the Android 12 developer preview build sooner by sending a manual update request from Settings > About phone > System Updates on your phone.
Following the installation of the update, you may use the pre-installed Customer Feedback app to submit feedback on the release. If you face any problems after installed Android 12, you can request a rollback to the Android 11 release via the My Phone app.
Before you start with the registrations, Nokia has underlined a few points that you should be aware of. These are some of them:
- A few Google Play Store apps may not be functional (completely or partially) and may show signs of instability.
- Android 12 developer preview programme builds (ADP) are early Android OS updates developed primarily for application developers; they are not recommended for general use.
- Despite our development team’s thorough testing, the builds may have performance and/or stability difficulties in some circumstances.
- User data will be lost if you upgrade from Android 11 to the Android 12 developer preview programme and then revert from the Android 12 developer preview programme to the Official Android 11 release. As a result, we advise you to back up any user data to avoid losing it.
