NAVIGATING THROUGH THE COVID-19 CRISIS
Indeed the covid-19 pandemic has been the toughest time in the history of mankind. Forcing us to deal with the new-normal scenario, the crisis induces major changes across the business landscape as well. Cylsys also made the appropriate changes to the entire business model to be in sync with the unprecedented scenario.
“In March when the entire country went into lockdown, we had to shut our operating offices. But did the operations pause for a single day? That’s an emphatic NO. All thanks to our team members. The ‘True Heroes’ of the day, who took up this pause as a challenge and came through with flying colours. Each member of the Cylsys family started working from home and ensured that each function and department worked on and delivered its daily set targets without fail. Zoom meetings replaced the virtual ones and homes got transformed into workstations. It took a little while to adapt to these changes. But in a few days, the business operations started at a rapid pace,” remarked Pawas.
Acknowledging the exceptional efforts made by their pool of developers at the company, the leader continued by saying that while working remotely on client projects at the comfort of their homes, delivering results in time frames set by the clientele, they generated good business. He stated that this extensive pool of resources proved to be a huge advantage in the success of Cylsys team during this pandemic.
“In July 2020, our centre in M.P was operational with all the safety precautions in place and permitted 30 percent attendance for the staff there. We took an informed decision to keep our Corporate office in Mumbai shut as the number of Covid cases were still on the rise there and all means of transportation were not operational,”
asserted him. The senior management has been known to take every precaution to ensure safe steps in direction of the employee’s safety. Productivity was at its peak even amid demand disruption which was persistent across the business landscape.
With social distancing and lockdowns becoming a way of life, more and more businesses were opting for the Digital and Online route to survive. Therefore the demand for Mobile applications or e-commerce apps saw a sharp spike which was a boon for us. We had an array of Software solutions for these Business enterprises.

“We have an amazing work culture at Cylsys. The main challenge this industry faces is acquiring good Talent! Once they are on board, nurturing them and finally showing them a career path with a perfect work-life balance is one of our key priorities. In this regard, Cylsys has things in place. We are one Team. We wouldn’t want to call them employees. Team members are apt,” affirmed Pawas.
He continued by revealing that the average vintage of the team members is over 4 years, which speaks volumes of the joy and satisfaction experienced by the team members while being associated with the company. For Pawas, leadership is not about dominating and driving team members towards his proposed vision. Instead, he considers himself as a team member who works with the team. “Yes, I am the captain of the ship. Giving directions to the entire Team, guiding them if they are moving in the wrong direction and rewarding them for their performances is my job.
But most importantly we work as a team, fully focused on the objectives and goals at hand. And since we are a technology company, learning is constant, even for myself. I like to keep abreast of any new technology in the market and am aware of the hits and misses in the IT domain,” enunciated the ‘tech evangelist’.
