PUBG makers announce to return as ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’; registrations open soon

Since the famous gaming app, PUBG was previously banned in India, players will soon be able to use it again. The South Korean video game developer Krafton has released a new game named ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ for the Indian market. The news went viral on social media, with netizens launching a meme-fest in response.

The latest battle royale game looks a lot like the original PUBG Mobile in the recently released trailer, but the name is different. That didn’t stop ardent supporters from cheering on social media. #Battlegroundsmobileindia and #PUBG quickly became the most popular hashtags on social media.

According to a press release, “BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA will launch with unique in-game activities such as costumes and features, as well as its esports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues,” according to Krafton. On smartphones, the game will be available for download. Similar to PUBG Mobile, this is a battle royale game.

According to the company, there will be a pre-registration time before the launch. The game will only be released in India, indicating that it is most likely a replacement for PUBG Mobile.

The video game maker also intends to build an esports community and will periodically update in-game content. At launch, the company intends to launch with a series of India-specific in-game activities, the specifics of which will be announced later.

The organization also intends to make improvements, especially for the Indian market, according to reports. These features include a simulated gameplay training ground environment, as well as the fact that both players will be fully dressed from the start of the game and that the blood will be green rather than red.
