WhatsApp has come up with a new feature that allows users to create direct links to calls for both voice and video. This has been a common feature on video conferencing apps like Zoom, Google Chat, and Meet, but now it has come to WhatsApp. The feature called “Call Links” allows users to create links for video and voice calls and share with their contacts on WhatsApp. Mark Zuckerberg announced the feature. “We’re rolling out call links on WhatsApp starting this week so you can share a link to start a call with a single tap,” Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post.
With the introduction of the Call Links feature, users may now easily create a link for an audio or video call and share it with family and friends. The Call Links option is located inside the Calls Tab. To use Call Links, users only need to update their WhatsApp app to the newest version. The feature will roll out starting this week. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also announced a trial of secure encrypted video calling for up to 32 people. A similar feature is already available for voice calls.
Call Links facility is gradually being made available all across the world. If you don’t have this feature yet, it will be made available to you soon. To update the WhatsApp app to the latest version, users can visit their respective App Store. If you are an Android user, go to the Google Play store and if you are an iPhone user then go to the App Store. WhatsApp has recently launched some privacy features, including hiding online status. This feature has been announced and will be available to everyone very soon.
