YouTube brings ‘Most Replayed’ feature to highlight the best part of videos
There’s a new function launched on YouTube that helps users identify the most popular parts of the video they’re watching. This “Most Replayed” tool is essentially a graph that can be used to find and watch the most popular parts of a video, the parts that have been most played by other users.
This may not appear to be useful for short videos, but it is really useful for large videos that are not divided into pieces by timestamps or video chapters. This “Most Replayed” feature was previously only available to YouTube Premium subscribers as a test and could be found at YouTube.com/New. It will now be accessible to all YouTube users, both free and paid, on PC, iOS, and Android.

With the progress bar, the “Most Replayed” feature shows in a subtle grey graph. A high graph indicates that a certain portion has been replayed frequently. There’s also a video thumbnail that shows the most-watched part. YouTube is expanding its video chapter support for smart TVs and gaming consoles. The feature allows the users to jump to a particular section in the video to watch again. Previously, users had to manually navigate back to the point in the video when they wished to replay it, but now these chapters could be generated automatically.
YouTube is also introducing a new feature called ‘Single Loop.’ This function allows the user to play a single video indefinitely. The Single Loop feature is accessible from the same menu that also includes a video quality option, captions, and other functions. YouTube recently announced that the lightweight YouTube Go app will be discontinued later this year. Starting in August, the YouTube Go app for Android phones will be terminated. All YouTube Go users have been encouraged to switch to the original YouTube app on their devices.
Finally, without giving too much information, YouTube has introduced a new function called Seek to Exact Moment, which will initially be available only to YouTube Premium customers. As the name implies, this function allows viewers to jump to a specific point in a video.
