Google CEO Sundar Pichai reveals how he makes Monday mornings more tolerable
By Sanjay Maurya
Monday has never been a joyous day for anyone, especially office workers. Monday mornings are especially difficult if you have only recently returned to work after spending two years at home owing to Covid. Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, approaches Monday in a very different way than we do. He understands how to beat the Monday blues and has shared his knowledge with you so that you may do the same. Pichai explained that he gets to plan for the remainder of the week on Monday, which helps him organise his ideas.

“I really value quiet time in the morning,” Pichai tells the Wall Street Journal, “It’s the only time where I get to step back and reflect.”
“Monday morning is particularly the time when I really try to think about the important things I want to get done for the week or deeper thoughts. I have a notepad and a pen and I often write down the three to five things I want to get done that week.”
I usually have a quiet breakfast, and reading the news is very important to me. In the mornings, I always read the Journal. I also read other news to get a solid idea of what’s going on in the world.” Pichai avoids eating a fancy breakfast in order to focus on more essential matters.
Pichai mentioned that he usually enjoys a quiet breakfast, during which he reads the news to keep up with what’s going on in the world. What about his diet? The long-time vegetarian revealed that he has had the same breakfast almost every day for the past 15 years—eggs and toast, and chai to drink.
Consider trying out Pichai’s method, which has worked for him as the CEO of one of the world’s top tech companies. Whatever your plans for 2022 are, and however you start your Mondays, consider trying out Pichai’s method.
